Requires teacher approval. Pointe is for intermediate or advanced dancers who wish to advance their ballet technique. Years ago, a 3 year old Patti Parrish took her first dance class with Sophia Letlow and at 9 years old began dancing with Phyllis Hershberger. It was at Phyllis’ dance studio that Patti met and began training with Becky Hershberger (Pugmire)... these two are now known as Miss Patti and Miss Becky where they continue to be best dance friends and teach together!
For 50 years students at Patti Parrish School of Dance have celebrated the art of dance through music and movement. Miss Patti and her teachers take pride in teaching young girls and boys appropriate dance technique in a wholesome and caring environment.
Many of Miss Patti’s students have gone on to dance professionally across the United States, some even on Broadway. Others have opened their own dance studios or have children of their one that now dance where they grew up. Did you know that at least 3 other dance studios in the Tulsa area are owned and operated by former Patti Parrish dancers? And with the exception of Miss Becky, every teacher at Patti Parrish School of Dance is a former student that continues to share their passion with children!
Nowadays, it is unheard of for a small business to continue and be successful after 50 years, but somehow, thanks to Miss Patti’s dedication, character, passion, hard work, determination, creativity and love, her small town dance studio continues to provide opportunities for dancers to grow and develop every day. The legacy that Miss Patti started 50 years ago continues today and will continue tomorrow!
